The numerals SP-377 carry the design, with the regional name Brazil set alongside them as the second line of identification. Nothing else competes for attention, so the reading is immediate: a route number and a place.

Meaning & Symbolism

The sign follows the logic of Brazilian road numbering. "SP" is the abbreviation for the state of São Paulo, and SP-377 is one of the state highways that thread through its towns and countryside. A route marker like this is a navigational shorthand, a way of saying exactly where you are and where the road is going, and the design keeps that function intact.

Turning the Sign into a Glass

A mixing glass gets used in a particular way: it is lifted, tilted and shaken, with the hand wrapped around its narrower lower section. The sign sits on the glass in the same spirit, so the route number reads as you handle it. It makes a conversation starter for anyone who has driven the roads of São Paulo, or who simply likes the idea of a journey marked out in one number.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-377-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP377-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793706709
