sp-378-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-378 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-378 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the form of a road sign, with the designation SP-378 set against the name of Brazil.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is built on a direct pairing of text and symbol. The SP-378 code and the word Brazil carry the image, with no decorative clutter around them. The layout reads the way a roadside marker does: a single designation, clearly placed, meant to be taken in at a glance. Nothing competes with the code, so the eye moves straight from the number to the country it names.

Meaning & Symbolism

A road sign is a promise of direction, and this design borrows that language to point at Brazil's national identity. The alphanumeric designation gives the piece its structure, while the country name anchors it in the themes of travel, geography and heritage. Read together, the code and the name suggest a route worth following, a reference to a place that is recognised by its own signs.

On the Mixing Glass

This is a glass you pick up, tip and pour from, so the sign is seen in motion rather than from across a room. As the glass is lifted to shake or to sip, the design turns in the hand and the designation comes into view on the way to the mouth. It is a fitting pairing for a piece that works as both shaker and serving glass: the road sign is always moving with the drink.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-378-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP378-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793702479
