The route designation SP-391 is the dominant element, and it is the only text the design carries. Its sign-like composition keeps the eye on the code itself, with no decorative detail competing for attention. The result reads at a glance, the way a road marker does from a moving car.

Meaning & Symbolism

The SP prefix is the abbreviation for São Paulo, the Brazilian state, and 391 is its numbered highway. The design therefore points to a specific place on a real road network rather than to a general idea of the country. Road signs exist to guide travellers, and this artwork carries that function into a home setting, turning a piece of regional wayfinding into something to look at and talk about.

Designed for a Tall Curved Wall

A mixing glass is held and turned in the hand, so the sign is seen as the glass moves, with the code passing across the curved wall as you pour and stir. The single centred marking suits a surface that is viewed from every angle, and it makes a thoughtful pick for anyone who has a route, a region or a journey worth remembering.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-391-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP391-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793702813
