sp-407-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-407 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-407 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the form of a road sign, built around the route designation SP-407 and a reference to Brazil.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is deliberately plain. The alphanumeric code SP-407 carries the design, set as the dominant element with nothing competing for attention. There are no illustrated scenes or decorative flourishes, so the eye goes straight to the characters and their spacing. The layout is simple and centred, with the Brazil reference sitting alongside the code as a clear regional marker. The result reads like the signage it imitates: direct, legible and easy to take in at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs exist to tell people where they are and where they are going. In Brazil, SP is the standard abbreviation for the state of São Paulo, and a numbered designation like 407 follows the same logic that organises the country's state road network. The design borrows that system of identification, turning a functional wayfinding code into a statement of place. It speaks to regional pride, to travel, and to the satisfaction of a well-ordered system of names and numbers.

Made for the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is a tall, curved vessel that you hold and turn while stirring, then pour from. The design wraps around that curve, so the code and the Brazil reference stay in view as the glass moves in the hand. Because the sign is compact and self-contained, it reads clearly at close range, the way a route marker is read from the seat of a car. Each time the glass is lifted, the design is there to be read again.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-407-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP407-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793703346
