sp-431-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-431 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-431 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the form of a road sign and sets it in Brazil, with the SP-431 designation at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is built around the road-sign format, so its primary subject is a single, direct piece of signage rather than a scene. The designation SP-431 is the main text, and it reads as the sign's identifying code. Nothing in the composition competes with it, which keeps the eye on the number and the route it names.

Meaning & Symbolism

The SP prefix is the code Brazil uses for highways in the state of São Paulo, so the sign points to a specific road within that region. Road signs in this format are functional markers, and this design treats one as a subject in its own right, turning a piece of everyday navigation into a record of place. The Brazil theme ties that record to the country as a whole.

Why It Suits a Pint

A road sign is read at a glance, and this design rewards the same quick look. On a pint, the artwork sits on a tall, curved surface that you turn in your hand as you drink, so the code comes into view a little at a time. It makes a good conversation starter for anyone who has travelled São Paulo's roads or who simply likes a well-chosen sign.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-431-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP431-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793722094
