Nothing competes for attention: the sign's identifying code sits at the centre of the piece, and the Brazil motif is the only subject. The layout is direct and graphic, built from a few clean shapes rather than decoration, so the eye lands on the designation first and then on the regional reference around it.

Meaning & Symbolism

A road sign is a practical object that tells you where you are and where you are going. Here that idea is carried into a graphic: the SP designation follows the conventions of Brazilian state road numbering, with SP standing for São Paulo, so the sign points to a specific route within a specific region. The piece turns that everyday marker into a symbol of place, one that signals Brazil to anyone who knows how these routes are labelled.

On the Mixing Glass

A road sign is designed to be read at a glance, and this glass is shaped for the same kind of quick recognition. Its clear, open body lets the graphic show straight through as the glass is lifted and turned, so the sign appears and shifts with every angle. Whether it is poured into or simply carried to the table, the design stays in view, making the route the first thing anyone notices.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-465-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP465-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793709967
