A single sign-style graphic carries the designation SP-468 and the name Brazil as its only lettering, so nothing competes with the sign itself. The eye settles on the code first and the country second, the way a route number is read at a glance from a moving vehicle.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs are a language of direction, and this piece borrows that language. The SP prefix and numeral follow the format of Brazilian state highway designations, so the sign reads as a route marker belonging to the country it names. Brazil is the theme throughout, and the artwork treats the country as a place you travel through rather than a decorative backdrop.

On the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is tall and narrows toward its base, so the design wraps a long curved surface that you turn in the hand as you pour and stir. The sign stays readable in one continuous band as the glass moves, which suits a design built around reading a route at speed. Give it to someone with a road trip, a move, or a long-planned journey on the calendar, and the sign does the talking.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-468-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP468-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793715417
