sp-478-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz
SP-478 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

SP-478 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A pentagonal route marker in black and white, carrying the letters SP and the number 478 inside a double border.

Shape & Lettering

The marker is a pentagon with a thick outer outline and a thinner inner border that runs parallel to it, so the shape reads as a framed panel rather than a plain outline. Black and white are the only colours, with black covering about a fifth of the artwork. The letters SP sit above the number 478, both set in bold sans-serif capitals with generous spacing. Nothing is layered over the lettering, so the sign stays flat and direct.

Meaning & Symbolism

The prefix SP identifies the state of São Paulo, and the marker is one of the state highway signs used along its roads. The number 478 places this route within the state's numbered system, the way a route number works on any highway network. Road shields of this type are a familiar part of the Brazilian landscape, and the design lifts the marker out of its roadside setting and presents it as a clean graphic.

In the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the marker is seen at arm's length and read in a single glance. The pentagon sits well within the narrow body of the glass, and the bold numerals stay legible at that scale. Its sharp outline gives the glass a crisp, deliberate look when it stands on a bar or shelf beside others.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-478-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-SP478-1P5OZ-front.webp?v=1793815793
