sp-515-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-515 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-515 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the alphanumeric code SP-515 and sets it against a Brazilian theme, turning a piece of road-network shorthand into a statement of place.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is clean and structured, with the SP-515 notation as its dominant element. The numerals and letters carry the image, so the typography does the work that ornament might otherwise do. Nothing is cluttered. The layout stays centred and balanced, with the identifier reading clearly at a glance, and the Brazilian motif sits in quiet support rather than competing for attention.

Meaning & Symbolism

The "SP" prefix is the state designation for São Paulo, and "515" is the route number that marks this highway within Brazil's road system. The design borrows the language of a road sign, where a code tells a traveller exactly where they are. Here that signal becomes a way of expressing affinity with Brazil through its geographic identity, rendered in a modern, minimalist voice.

Turning the Code in Your Hand

A road sign is built to be read quickly, and this artwork is built for a glass that is held close and turned. The tall, tapering body of this piece gives the identifier room to run around its curve, so the notation reads as you lift and rotate the glass. Each pour brings the SP-515 back into view, a small reminder of the place it names.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-515-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP515-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793730258
