The SP-609 code is the focal text, and the numerals and lettering carry the design. The code reads first, and everything else follows from it, which keeps the layout direct and uncluttered.

Meaning & Symbolism

The SP prefix is the code Brazil uses for roads in the state of São Paulo, and the numerals identify a specific route within that network. Road signage is a shared visual language of direction and distance, so the design brings a piece of everyday Brazilian travel into a decorative form. It is a Brazilian road sign, drawn from the country's own signage tradition.

Why It Suits a Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is lifted and tipped again and again, so the artwork is seen up close and in motion. The sign wraps the vessel as it is handled, and the route code appears each time the glass is picked up. Pour a drink, pass it across the table, and the road keeps pace with the conversation.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-609-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP609-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793700580
