sp-750-brazil-road-sign-white-coffee-mug
SP-750 (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

SP-750 (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

A pentagonal highway shield in flat black and white, with the state code SP over the route number 750.

Visual Elements & Composition

White makes up close to four-fifths of the design, and black draws the pentagonal border and the characters. The shield is symmetrical and upright, with its point at the bottom. "SP" sits small above a larger "750", so the eye reads the state first and then the number. The lines are clean and the lettering is bold, with nothing added to the field, which keeps the composition calm and direct.

Meaning & Symbolism

A highway shield is built to be read at speed, and the pentagon shape marks the sign as a route designation. SP is the abbreviation for the state of São Paulo, and 750 is the number that identifies this road within the state network. The design is a study in wayfinding: it shows how a regional route is named, rather than offering a scene or a story.

Around the Cup

A mug is usually held and turned, so the shield is seen as it moves past the eye, pentagon point first. The bold numerals stay legible as the cup is lifted, and the outline reads clearly on the curved wall. It is a fitting marker for anyone who collects transport graphics or keeps a map open on the desk.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-750-brazil-road-sign-white-coffee-mug-GMY-MUG-SP750-11OZ-front.webp?v=1793831029
