The road-sign framing keeps the layout direct and uncluttered, with the code and the Brazil reference doing all the work. Nothing is added for decoration, so the eye lands on the numerals and the name straight away.

Meaning & Symbolism

The "SP" prefix is the abbreviation for São Paulo, one of Brazil's states, and "889" is the route number that places this sign on its roads. Road signs are functional by design: they exist to guide a driver through unfamiliar country. Taken together, the design turns a practical piece of regional infrastructure into a small, recognisable record of place, the kind of marker travellers and locals read without thinking.

Designed for the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is a tall, tapered vessel that is picked up, tilted and turned in the hand, so the artwork wraps around a curved surface rather than sitting flat. The sign's central code stays readable as the glass rotates, and the composition holds together from every angle. Whether you're shaking a drink or pouring one out to serve, the design is always in view, which makes this a fitting choice for anyone who likes their regional references close at hand.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-889-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP889-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793696134
