sp-920-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-920 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-920 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the form of a road sign, reduced to its essentials: a single alphanumeric code, SP-920, set against the word Brazil.

Visual Elements & Composition

The layout is strictly minimal. The identifier does the work, with no illustration, border or decorative flourish competing for attention. The letters and numerals are the dominant element, arranged so the code reads first and the regional marker follows. The result is clean and utilitarian, closer to a signpost than to a picture, and the empty space around the text is part of the composition.

Meaning & Symbolism

The code is the heart of the design. SP is the abbreviation for São Paulo, the Brazilian state, and 920 is the number of a state road within it. Brazilian road designations follow this pattern of state letters and route number, so the artwork borrows the logic of real navigation. Pairing the number with the place name turns a routine piece of road infrastructure into a small, precise map reference, a way of saying exactly where you are.

Made for the Pint Glass

A road sign is read at a glance, and this design suits the same habit of reading while the glass is in hand. The text runs around a tall, curved surface, so the code and the place name come into view as the glass is turned and lifted. It is a fitting gift for anyone whose travels have taken them along Brazilian roads, or who has always wanted a memento of a route they have never driven.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-920-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP920-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793698555
