The palette runs red, blue and white with gold used for the crown and heraldic detail. Two numerals, 1389 and 1889, are visible within the composition. Rendered in flat digital heraldry, the arms have hard edges and clean colour fields, so the crown and eagle stay sharp at any size.

Dynastic Meaning

The standard draws on the Serbian double-headed eagle and the Serbian cross, whose four firesteels, known as ocila, are a traditional mark of the Serbian arms. The royal crown above them speaks to the family's rule over the Kingdom of Serbia and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The dynasty dates its line to 1804, and its kings reigned from 1903 to 1945. This particular standard is carried by the current Head of the House, Crown Prince Alexander.

Shaped for the Curve

A square flag has to be read from a curved surface here, so the arms turn with the mug as it is lifted and rotated. The crown sits at the top of the emblem and is the first thing the eye finds when the cup is raised. The triangular border makes the square edge visible even from a side view, and the arms hold their shape across the full wrap of the design.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/standard-of-the-head-of-the-house-of-karadjordjevic-serbia-white-coffee-mug-11oz-position1.webp?v=1772538748
https://gomugyourself.com/products/standard-of-the-head-of-the-house-of-karadjordjevic-serbia-white-coffee-mug
