Horizontal stripes of white, red and green cross it, and at the centre a circular coat of arms replaces the plain white disc of the regional flag. Inside the emblem, a horseman carrying a banner is the figure that draws the eye. Lettering in Cyrillic and Sakha script surrounds the device, so the text is part of the composition as well as the symbol.

Meaning & Symbolism

The standard is a square version of the regional flag, so its colours and stripes carry the same meaning as the flag itself. It stands for regional governance and the cultural identity of Sakha, also known as Yakutia, presented in a formal and dignified manner.

Turning the Crest Around the Cup

On a mug the central emblem has to be found by turning the cup, since the coat of arms sits at the middle of the square and the stripes run out to its edges. As the cup rotates, the horseman and banner come into view, and the bright blue field wraps around the curve of the ceramic.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/standard-of-the-head-of-the-sakha-yakut-republic-russia-white-coffee-mug-11oz-position1.webp?v=1772539556
https://gomugyourself.com/products/standard-of-the-head-of-the-sakha-yakut-republic-russia-white-coffee-mug
