tw-thwch107-taiwan-road-sign-white-coffee-mug
TW THWch107 (Taiwan) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

TW THWch107 (Taiwan) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

This design takes the form of a Taiwanese route shield, reduced to a single rounded rectangle, a black border and a bold pair of markings.

Visual Elements & Composition

White fills most of the frame, roughly nine parts in ten, with black supplying the rest through a thin rectangular border. The flat vector drawing has no shading or texture, so the sign reads cleanly from across a room. At its centre sits the Chinese character 彰 above the numeral 107. Nothing else competes for attention, and the layout stays symmetrical from edge to edge.

Meaning & Symbolism

The character 彰 (Zhang) identifies Changhua County, a farming region in central Taiwan, and the number 107 names the route it marks. Together they form the kind of wayfinding marker that drivers and walkers pass every day, so the design stands for local navigation and the sense of knowing exactly where you are. Its modern, minimalist treatment turns a practical piece of road infrastructure into a graphic emblem.

Turning the Sign in Your Hands

A mug is turned in the hand with every sip, so the sign rotates into view and out again as you drink. The character and numeral appear as a clear面 only when the mug faces you, and the rest of the design curves away. It makes a fine conversation piece for anyone who has driven, cycled or wandered through Taiwan, and a quiet nod for anyone who simply loves clean, well-made signage.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/tw-thwch107-taiwan-road-sign-white-coffee-mug-GMY-MUG-TWTHW-11OZ-1FKNU-front.webp?v=1793908753
