The artwork directly mirrors the flag's distinctive elements, signifying the elite status and valor of the honored naval units it represents.

Visual Elements and Symbolism

The core of the design is the intricate representation of the Guards Red Banner Naval Flag itself. The dominant white field, representing purity and naval service, is bisected by a light blue horizontal stripe at the bottom, symbolizing the sea. At the hoist, a red five-pointed star containing a gold hammer and sickle is prominently displayed, which represents the Soviet Armed Forces and the unity of workers and peasants within a socialist framework.

In the upper fly corner, the design masterfully combines two critical symbols. The artwork incorporates the Order of the Red Banner medal, a red flag bearing the revolutionary slogan "Workers of the world, unite!" along with crossed rifles and a red star, indicating extraordinary valor in combat. Overlapping or positioned slightly in front of the Red Banner emblem is the Guards badge. This consists of a red waving banner with the word ГВАРДИЯ ("GUARD") inscribed on it, set above a golden wreath and a golden star. This signifies the elite “Guards” title bestowed upon units for exceptional service and heroism during World War II.

This design is a powerful visual representation of honor, courage, and elite status within the Soviet Navy. The meticulous detail in replicating the flag's elements ensures that each visual aspect carries significant historical weight, conveying a narrative of naval excellence.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/ussr-naval-1950-redban-guards-russia-shot-glass-15oz-15oz-position1.webp?v=1768314065
