The design centers on the iconic symbols of the Soviet Navy, a testament to the might and presence of the Soviet Union's maritime forces.

Artwork Details

The artwork replicates the design of the naval commissioning pennant, a long, tapering shape that symbolizes a ship's commissioned status. The primary field of the design is pristine white, representing the purity of duty and naval tradition.

Symbolism

At the base of the design, near where it would attach to the mainmast of a warship, sits the most potent imagery: a red five-pointed star containing the gold hammer and sickle. The red star, a universal emblem of the Soviet Armed Forces and Communism, conveys the ideological underpinnings of the navy. The hammer and sickle, a symbol of unity between workers and peasants, further emphasizes the Soviet ethos.

Beneath the star, a horizontal light-blue stripe echoes the naval ensign's color, signifying the maritime service and its connection to the sea. The design, as a whole, embodies the active, commissioned state of a warship within the Soviet Navy.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/ussr-pendant-1935-soviet-union-shot-glass-15oz-15oz-position1.webp?v=1768314103
