Dominating this field is a bold graphic: a "twice-broken chevron" rendered in the national colors of Slovenia: white, blue, and red. This unique chevron formation is the heart of the design, creatively representing Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak and a potent national symbol. The breaks in the chevron add a dynamic and modern touch, distinguishing it from traditional designs.

Colors and Heritage

The use of the white-blue-red tricolor is a direct link to Slovenian heritage, a cornerstone of national identity. However, Kovačevič's design distinguishes itself from similar Slavic flags by the arrangement of these colors within the distinctive chevron shape. This arrangement allows the colors to be celebrated in a fresh, unique way, providing a modern twist on a beloved emblem.

A Modern Emblem

The artwork strives to balance tradition with modernity. The inclusion of Triglav and the national colors offers a sense of stability and connection to the country's past, while the chevron arrangement offers a novel approach to the emblem. The shot glass presents a piece of design history, a tribute to a bold design idea that was meant to reimagine Slovenia's national symbols.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/zoran-kovacevics-slovenia-flag-proposal-2003-slovenia-shot-glass-15oz-15oz-position1.webp?v=1768321510
https://gomugyourself.com/products/zoran-kovacevics-slovenia-flag-proposal-2003-slovenia-shot-glass-1-5oz
