The 107th Infantry Regiment is a historic infantry regiment within the United States Army that has seen active service during various conflicts throughout its history. Originally formed as part of the Ohio National Guard in 1861, it was called into federal service during the American Civil War and has since participated in numerous major conflicts such as World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The regiment is currently part of the 56th Infantry Brigade Combat Team under the Ohio Army National Guard. Notable actions undertaken by the 107th Infantry Regiment include service during the Battle of Chickamauga, combat in the Argonne Forest during World War I, and participation in the Korean War's Battle of Pork Chop Hill. Throughout its history, the regiment has earned numerous awards and decorations, including the Presidential Unit Citation, the French Croix de Guerre, and the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation.
