The 130th Infantry Regiment is a historic infantry unit within the United States Army. Originally formed during World War I as part of the National Army, it was reorganized and redesignated multiple times before its current configuration in 2006. The regiment has been involved in significant conflicts including World War II, the Korean War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. It is currently assigned to the California Army National Guard and falls under the command of the 49th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. The 130th Infantry Regiment's motto is "Victory or Death."
