The 13th Marine Command Element (13th MCE) is a component of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU) in the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The 13th MEU, one of six Marine Expeditionary Units under the operational control of U.S. Fleet Forces Command, serves as a rapid-response, self-contained task force capable of conducting amphibious operations and crisis response missions around the world. The 13th MCE specifically provides command and control functions for the unit, coordinating and directing the combined arms team that includes ground combat units, aviation assets, logistics support, and communications capabilities.
