The 229th Engineer Battalion is a unit of the United States Army, falling under the branch of military engineering. Engineer battalions primarily perform combat engineer tasks such as breaching obstacles, constructing bridges, building roads, and conducting mine clearance operations to enable maneuver units to traverse any terrain.
