The 45th Infantry Regiment is a unit of the United States Army under the U.S. Army National Guard. Established on July 28, 1916, during the border conflict between the United States and Mexico, the regiment has since played significant roles in various conflicts including World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. The 45th Infantry Regiment is unique due to its affiliation with multiple states: Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and California.
