The 7th Bomb Wing is a United States Air Force unit based at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. As one of the U.S. Air Force's premier combat-ready bomber wings, it operates the B-1B Lancer strategic bomber aircraft. Established in 1942, the 7th Bomb Wing has a rich history that includes numerous deployments, most notably during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom. Its mission is to provide a rapidly deployable, agile, and lethal combat-ready force capable of global power projection in support of national defense strategy.
