Arms of the German Confederation - Black Coffee Mug

The "Arms of the German Confederation" refers to the official symbol used by the German Confederation, a political union of 39 German states established in 1815 following the Congress of Vienna after the Napoleonic Wars. The design typically consists of a black, double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, wearing a gold crown, holding a scepter and an orb in its claws. This symbol represented unity among the diverse member states during the confederation's existence from 1815 to 1866. The arms were later adopted by the North German Confederation (1867-1871) and, with minor modifications, became part of the coat of arms of the Imperial Germany (1871-1918).
