The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a New Deal agency under the administration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt established during the Great Depression in the United States. Created on March 31, 1933, it aimed to provide relief and employment for unmarried, unemployed young men aged 18–25 by enrolling them in a national service program focused on conservation projects throughout federal, state, and municipal lands.
