Flag of Hannover Germany - Color Changing Coffee Mug

The Flag of Hanover, also known as the Hanoverian State Flag, is a historical banner that represents the former Hanoverian state in Germany. It consists of a field divided diagonally from the upper hoist-side corner to the lower fly-side corner, with two equal colored sections. The top section is red and the bottom section is white. This design originated during the reign of Ernest Augustus, the first Elector of Hanover, in 1636. After the union of Hanover and Great Britain in 1714 under George I, the flag was also used as a British royal standard by the Hanoverian monarchs until the German Empire was proclaimed in 1871. Today, it serves primarily as a symbol of historical significance for the city and former state of Hanover.
