The Flag of Olsztyn, Poland is the official symbol representing the administrative seat of Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, a region in northeastern Poland. Adopted on July 17, 2001, the flag consists of three horizontal bands arranged from top to bottom: green, yellow, and red. The green band occupies the upper half, while the combined height of the yellow and red bands below makes up the lower half. No emblems or other decorative elements appear on the flag. The colors used in the flag have symbolic meanings. Green represents the forests that cover much of Warmia-Masuria, while yellow signifies the sun and agriculture. The red band represents courage and bravery, alluding to the region's rich history and resilient people. The flag design was inspired by the arms of the Bishopric of Warmia, an ecclesiastical state that existed in medieval Poland from 1243 until 1807.
