The Regional Health Command Atlantic (RHC-A) is a component command of the U.S. Army Medical Command. Established in 1968, it provides medical support to U.S. Army forces stationed along the eastern seaboard of the United States and in the Caribbean region. Its headquarters is located at Fort Buchanan, San Juan, Puerto Rico, with additional locations at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Meade, Maryland; and Fort Shafter, Hawaii. The RHC-A's mission encompasses a broad spectrum of medical services ranging from routine healthcare to specialized care in areas such as psychiatry, dentistry, and trauma surgery. It is responsible for the health and readiness of over 140,000 soldiers and their families.
