The Soyuz TMA-02M is a manned spacecraft that serves as part of the Soyuz Programme, a series of Russian missions launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. This specific mission was launched on April 7th, 2010, and returned to Earth on October 31st, 2010. The spacecraft carried three astronauts: Andrey Borisenko (Commander), Alexander Samokutyaev (Flight Engineer) and Drew Feustel (Expedition 25 Flight Engineer). The primary objective of the Soyuz TMA-02M mission was to transport these astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) for a stay during Expeditions 25 and 26. The spacecraft was subsequently used to return the ISS crew back to Earth at the conclusion of their mission. The Soyuz Programme, which began in 1967, has played a significant role in manned spaceflight, carrying astronauts from various countries to the ISS and serving as an essential means of transport for the continuation of long-term human presence in low Earth orbit.
