USCG Academy (U.S. Coast Guard) Accent Coffee Mug

The United States Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) is a four-year, federal, liberal arts military college located in New London, Connecticut. Established in 1876 by Congress and modeled after the U.S. Naval Academy, it serves as a tertiary institution for the education of cadets who will become commissioned officers in the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The curriculum encompasses academic subjects such as engineering, maritime affairs, mathematics, science, humanities, and leadership development. Cadets receive both a Bachelor of Science degree and a commission upon graduation. Throughout their studies, they undergo rigorous physical training, seamanship instruction, and practical experience at sea to prepare them for service in the USCG. The academy is also home to the Coast Guard's only Officer Candidate School (OCS) and a specialized professional development program for enlisted personnel aiming to become officers.
