The 119th Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force (USAF) within the North Dakota Air National Guard. It is one of the oldest Air National Guard wings, tracing its origins back to 1946. The wing's primary mission is the provision of combat-ready air and space forces in support of the USAF. The 119th Wing consists of various operational and support groups. Its main base is located at Fargo Air National Guard Base, North Dakota. The wing's aircraft fleet primarily includes the F-16 Fighting Falcon for air combat missions. Additionally, it operates the C-130J Super Hercules for tactical airlift and airdrop operations. Throughout its history, the 119th Wing has been involved in numerous local, national, and international missions, including Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
