Battle of Gaines' Mill, Va. (U.S. Civil War) The Battle of Gaines' Mill, fought on June 27, 1862, during the American Civil War, was a significant engagement in the Seven Days Battles campaign. It took place near Gaines's Mill and Chickahominy River, in Henrico County, Virginia.
