The Flag of Brno, the largest city in the Czech Republic outside its capital, Prague, is a rectangular banner composed of three horizontal stripes. The top and bottom stripes are white, while the middle one is red. This design represents the historical affiliations of the city, as Brno was once part of the Margraviate of Moravia, which used a red and white flag. The current flag was officially adopted in 1996 following the Czechoslovak revolution that saw the city become part of an independent Czech Republic.
