The Western Pacific United States Forces (USARPAC) is a U.S. Army command responsible for overseeing and coordinating all land-based military operations in the Asia-Pacific region, specifically encompassing East Asia, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Hawaiian Islands. Established on July 1, 1946, after World War II, it operates under the Pacific Command (PACOM) of the U.S. Armed Forces. The mission of USARPAC is to ensure the readiness of land forces for prompt deployment in support of U.S. interests and alliances within its area of responsibility. It coordinates closely with regional allies and partners, including Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, among others, to maintain regional stability and security.
