The XIV Corps, also known as the Fourteenth Corps, is a corps of the United States Army. It was first activated during World War I on July 17, 1918, and deactivated on May 31, 1919. The corps was redesignated and reactivated multiple times throughout history, most recently in October 2015 as part of the U.S. Army Forces Command structure. The XIV Corps is headquartered at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, and it typically commands several divisions and independent brigades during large-scale operations. Notable engagements involving the XIV Corps include the Korean War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Its mission is to provide combined joint force command and control for land forces in a theater of operations.
