The 15th Infantry Regiment is a unit of the United States Army, part of the U.S. Army Infantry branch. Established in 1866, it was initially composed of five volunteer regiments and has since been involved in numerous significant military operations throughout its history. Notable engagements include the Indian Wars, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Vietnam War, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The regiment is currently part of the 3rd Infantry Division stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The 15th Infantry Regiment's motto is "Valor" and its nickname is "Red Diamond."
