56th Fighter Wing (U.S. Air Force) Black Coffee Mug

The 56th Fighter Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force. It is stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, and its primary mission is to train and educate U.S. Air Force pilots in the operation and maintenance of fighter aircraft, primarily the F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-35 Lightning II. The wing was first activated on January 10, 1942, at Hamilton Field, California, and has since been deployed to various locations, including England during World War II and Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Today, it consists of more than 5,000 Airmen who are committed to maintaining operational readiness and supporting global air power.
