The Flag of Kastellorizo is the official banner representing the small Greek island of Kastellorizo, located in the Dodecanese archipelago in the southeastern Aegean Sea. Adopted on March 28, 1948, the flag consists of three equal horizontal bands of blue (top and bottom) and white (middle), with a smaller blue square bearing a narrow, five-pointed white star in its center located in the upper hoist region. The design symbolizes the sea surrounding the island and the star represents the main town, Megisti, which means 'greatest' in Greek. Kastellorizo has been part of Greece since 1948, following its liberation from Italy during World War II.
