The Principality of Albania Civil Ensign (1914-1925) was the national flag used during the period when Albania was a principality under the rule of Prince William of Wied. Adopted in 1914, this ensign reflected the political and historical context of the time. The flag consisted of three horizontal bands of equal width - red, black, and red - with a white, six-pointed star positioned in the center of the black band. This design symbolized the unity and independence of Albania. The flag was replaced in 1925 when Albania became a republic under Ahmet Zogu's presidency.
