The Soyuz TMA-08M is a manned spacecraft flight that was part of the Soyuz program, a human spaceflight program launched by the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos). Launched on November 7th, 2013, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, it transported three crew members to the International Space Station (ISS) for Expedition 38. The spacecraft returned to Earth safely on May 11th, 2014, landing in a remote area of Kazakhstan. The TMA-08M mission was one of many in the Soyuz program, which has been instrumental in transporting astronauts and cosmonauts to and from the ISS since 1998.
