The 10th Armored Division is a historical formation of the United States Army, last active from 1953 to 1971 and reactivated as a training unit in 2006. Originally mobilized for service during World War II, it saw action in the European Theater, particularly in the Battle of Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, and the capture of Hitler's Eagle's Nest retreat. The division was deactivated in 1945 after the end of the war but reactivated during the Cold War as part of the U.S. Army's armored forces. In its second active period, it served primarily in Europe until its deactivation in 1971.
