Flag of Narathiwat Province, Thailand The Flag of Narathiwat Province is a symbol representing the administrative region located in the southernmost part of Thailand. This particular flag was officially adopted on March 9, 1948. The design consists of three horizontal stripes, with proportions of 2:3:2. The top and bottom stripes are blue, while the middle one is white. In the center, there is a yellow crescent moon facing towards the hoist, overlapping nine white five-pointed stars arranged in a 3x3 grid. The colors of the flag hold significant meaning: the blue symbolizes the sky and the sea, reflecting the geographical location of Narathiwat along the coastline; the white represents purity and peace. The yellow crescent moon is an Islamic symbol, recognizing the predominantly Muslim population in the province. The nine stars represent the nine districts (Amphoe) within Narathiwat Province: Narathiwat, Bacho, Chanae, Tak Bai, Ra-ngae, Su-ngai Padi, Yi-ngo, Rueso, and Sangaew. The Flag of Narathiwat serves as a visual representation of the unique cultural identity, history, and diverse community within this region of Thailand.
