The 106th Rescue Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force (USAF) located at Francis S. Gabreski Airport, Westhampton Beach, New York. As part of the Air Combat Command, this wing's primary mission is to provide combat search and rescue (CSAR) capabilities for downed aircrews and personnel in distress during military operations. The 106th Rescue Wing operates HC-130P/N Combat King II aircraft, which are modified versions of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules, as well as HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters.
