Description/Blazon:

A rectangular shield, arched at the top and bottom, divided horizontally with scarlet on top and yellow below, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) wide yellow border. Two vertically aligned arrowheads are placed on the shield, with the yellow arrowhead above overlapping the scarlet arrowhead below at the centerline.

Symbolism:

Scarlet and yellow are traditional colors of Artillery. The yellow arrowhead represents incoming aerial weaponry, while the red arrowhead rising from below symbolizes the intercepting force, reflecting the unit's air defense mission. The combined silhouette of the two arrowheads forms the Roman numeral "XI," indicating the unit's numerical designation.

Background:

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on May 27, 1980.
