The 125th Fighter Wing is an operational unit of the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard. It is one of six wings that make up the California Air National Guard. Located primarily at Fresno Yosemite International Airport in California, the 125th Fighter Wing's primary mission involves conducting combat air patrols and providing air defense for the state. The unit flies the F-15C Eagle aircraft, a twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter designed to gain and maintain air supremacy in aerial combat. The 125th Fighter Wing also supports counterair operations, close air support, air interdiction, and ground attack, as well as offensive and defensive air operations. It is under the jurisdiction of the Air Combat Command and operates under Title 10 of the United States Code when federalized.
