The 139th Pennsylvania Infantry was a military unit established during the U.S. Civil War. Raised primarily from residents of Pennsylvania, this infantry regiment served under the Union Army from August 1864 to July 1865. Throughout their service, they participated in key engagements such as the Battle of Petersburg and the Appomattox Campaign. The unit was mustered out on July 20, 1865, following Robert E. Lee's surrender at Appomattox Court House, effectively ending active combat operations in the Civil War.
