Description

A shield blazoned: Or, a saber bendwise Sable, overall four pheons crosswise of the like issuing from a taeguk Proper. Below the shield, a black scroll is inscribed "KEEN SABER" in gold letters.

Symbolism

The upright, unsheathed saber emphasizes the motto and symbolizes combat readiness. Yellow (gold) traditionally represents Cavalry units. The four arrowheads commemorate the unit's four assault landings during World War II, while the taeguk signifies service in Korea. The arrowheads also reflect the four points of the compass, highlighting the unit's global operational capability.
