The 163d Attack Wing is a United States Air Force unit, part of the Air National Guard. It is headquartered at Pueblo Memorial Airport, Colorado, and its subordinate units are stationed in New Mexico and Wyoming. The primary mission of the 163d Attack Wing is to provide combat-ready A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft for close air support and other tactical air support roles in contingency operations, as well as conducting homeland defense and civil support missions within its area of responsibility. The unit's history dates back to 1921 when it was initially activated as the Colorado National Guard Flying Squadron No. 1, making it one of the oldest military aviation units still active in the U.S. Air Force today.
